Interesting cartoon that does some explanation of how the money system works. It does, though, seem to imply that there's a grand conspiracy by banks and governments, and only time will tell if the theory that the expanding debt will eventually result in a collapse is true.
This article seems to try to address myths and unknowns of the banks and federal monetary system, some of which might be in the video. I'll have to read more on this before I really solidify my own thoughts on it all.
Granted, the video did outline a big reason why I disagree with Ron Paul's wish to reintroduce the gold standard. I also disagree with him with respects to gay marriage and abortion (he is against both, but he does believe that the federal government shouldn't even regulate marriage), but I really do agree with his push for a balanced national budget.
I wanted to keep politics out of this blog as much as possible, but the video, even if it might contain untruths, has me thinking in that direction.
