Seems as though I've hit on a pretty rare issue with Drupal 4.7.6 on my anime weblog: basically, when logging in, the site would give no error but simply return me to the page I was on without logging in. This seems to be a fairly old issue and very difficult to replicate issue if topic on Drupal's forums means anything. There's also this entry in the bug tracking system that's related to this login problem. Fortunately, it seems I've resolved this issue on my install. Rather annoying if you can't login to put in posts and what not. Fortunately, I haven't hit on that issue on Drupal 5.1 on this site, but it seems others have hit it on the newer version.
Ah well, crisis averted. Everything is A-Okay!
UPDATE: I'm seeing that this post is still getting hits from search engines. I highly recommend going to this topic in the drupal.org forums if you're getting bit by this bug. That post seems to have the most recent and comprehensive information on this issue. In my case, it was the cookies or sessions for my different subdomains were stepping all over each other, causing me not to be able to log into one site if I was logged into the other.
