Got a few more shooters since my last update. First of all, this monstrous looking thing:

I now shot around 2200 rounds through the Beretta 92FS, and it has rarely missed a beat1. That and I found a great little gun store in town with some very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The downside is that they're only open 9 AM to 6 PM Monday to Friday, which means I'll either have to go during lunch or immediately after work to catch them when they're open.

• 1. The only failure to feed happened when I attempted to load a magazine a friend had loaded; she somehow got 16 rounds into the 15-round magazine. Popping out the extra round fixed that issue, and I haven't had any other problems. Then again, I'm cleaning the gun after every time I go out to the range with it.

I've been going to the range semi-regularly for the past few weeks now, and it seems the practice is paying off. Here's what I've shot earlier this afternoon at the range with 41 rounds at 10 yards:

If I'm logging my sessions at the range correctly1, I've fired 983 rounds through the Beretta. No problems with any of them either.

I really do like this handgun.
