A Cajun-Asian View

Emails from LUS1 announces that Fiber service may be starting this month. I can't wait.

On Monday this week, some work crews came by to install some fiber equipment on the telephone pole in front of my house2 and on poles down the street. Here's a couple of pictures of the equipment they installed, that I could tell:

1. 1. Awww... why didn't I get one yet? I guess my greylisting filter is delaying the email?
2. 2. And I gladly let them park their trucks on our driveway.

I think these color photos of U.S. cities from the 1940s to 1960s are really cool. I enjoy looking through these, not only for the building architecture and vehicle styling, but for the shots of people walking in them. These snapshots of a time decades before I was even born seem to say more about the time than any of the movies I've watched that depicted this period. It's interesting to look back and wonder where we're going towards.
